Your videos don't work! Just like my SENA unit. Where is the reset port?

The reset is located at the back of the main unit, and look for a pinhole.

Insert a paper clip into the reset pin-hole and press the reset button for a second with light pressure.

One day my SMH10D worked perfectly.  I charged after using during the night and the next day when I plugged into the helmet I got no response.  Nothing, no lights, "no nothing.  I was worried because I didn't want to buy a new one and because I live in a small foreign country with extremly high import duties sending the unit back to SENA was not worth it.  I use the device every day.

So, I went to this forum and found where all I needed to do was use a paper clip and reset.  Quess what?  It worked.  What a relief and thanks to this forum.  As we say in this country - Pura Vida.

What would we do without the internet forums!

Senna stayed red for charging for ever, would not turn on, saw video, used paperclip in reset hole, perfect.

    Now 'as advertised' Thank you.

@tim, make sure to leave the SMH10 in the charger for atleast 2-3 hours. Then try to perform the reset using a paper clip. If it won't power on still, contact Sena support.

I have had the same problem. Got mine yesterday and tried to do upgrade and couldn't so I tried again on another mac and got as for as the attached file. Since then I cannot power the units up. Both had the same problem. Tried pin reset and that didn't work and then left charging for about 4 fours and pin reset still not working. Lodged support ticket 11 hours ago and nothing. Will leave until tomorrow and if still no reply will take unit back to dealer and probably pay more and get the Scala G9x instead. I hate buying products that fail.

tcuffe,   Don't buy Scala for goodness sake, would be a real regretable move.I've been there, aweful, that's why I bought Sena, stick with it, it will be something simple that they will sort. 4 of us ride with Sena headsets and they are brilliant.

Thanks Bob.  With Sena support I had to download an older version of the device manager and then pin reset twice and then it finally updated.  All seems to be working fine now.  Have to get out and try it out now. :-)

Best reset for the Sena SMH-10 is a big hammer.  Bought 2 units. One unit the battery died at 3 years. the second unit developed a nasty static delayed echo whenever I spoke into the mic. (I tore that unit off my helmet and threw it to the road while riding). The first 2 years were ok with the product. But if Sena expects me to open my wallet every 3 years they need to rethink things. GoPro and Drift seem to have no problem with a replaceable battery feature.  Very disappointed. Support is very poor.

Just got my sph10h-fm and currently on a bike trip and it's not working. Tried everything with no luck. My partner can hear me activate the intercom but all they hear is static and I can not return a conversation with them I can hear them fine but my voice is non existent. Any suggestions anybody?.

I have a problem, I can hear music, intercom and phone, but no one can hear me. I even purchased a 2nd boom helmet setup at Sena's suggestions after the reset button did not work. Tried re pairing and another phone,  now I have 2 helmet setups and a sena I can't communicate with... Music still works at least, but no help when intercom or phone rings.

    any suggestions?

Not going to give another $200, music is nice, but that is not the reason I bought it, I got it for safety when riding with my friends.

    Warren,

Press and hold the Phone button (small button) on the SMH10 for 5 seconds until the LED flashes red and blue. Then on your phone's Bluetooth menu, do a search or scan.

When the SMH10 appears on your phone, select it.

After having the unit for only 6 months, I charge until I get a blue light, but won't power up when attached to helmet adapter.  Worked great for the first half riding season, but now seems like a paper weight.
