How does SMH10 support connection with none Bluetooth audio device such as mp3 player, radio or radar detector?

There are a couple of ways to connect none Bluetooth audio device to SMH10. The easiest method is wired connection to SMH10. If the device has 3.5mm audio output port, device can be connected to SMH10 using provided 3.5mm audio cable through MP3 port
Also, device can be connected to SMH10 wirelessly using a Bluetooth audio dongle which supports A2DP. Bluetooth dongle is not provided in SMH10 package.

    It won't connect an iPhone and bluetooth dongle to the SMH10 at the same time.

    Big problem when I used the Sena supplied 3.5 mm cable to connect an Escort 9500ix radar detector into an SM10.  Blew the audio out of the radar detector and needs repair.  Escort says a mono isolator chord required to plug in a mono radar detector into a stereo device (SM10);  to prevent excessive voltage to the detector and blowing the speaker and or sound board.  I am no electronic whiz, and not even sure which chord to get, or if Escort is correct in their assessment.  Here is Sena's help desk response;

    "It is quite unusual to hear something like this has happened.  I don't believe I have ever heard of an electronics device that has that much power to actually blow out.  I will definitely note this to my supervisor and hopefully, we can help us in future cases."

     Can anyone help?

    When I connect my radar detector to my SM10 it disables the media option on the cell phone. Now I can't listen to music.

    How can I set up the following scenario with my hardware?   Galaxy s4, SMH10 (firmware v5.0.1), SM10 (firmware v1.1)

    Music = Cell Phone XM radio app

    Phone = Galaxy S4

    GPS = Sprint Navigation Galaxy S4

    Radar detector = Escort  85x via 3.5mm or Bluetooth transmitter (without disabling cell phone Stereo)

    @Victor: you will need to plug your Galaxy S4 into the secondary audio port on the SM10 when you want to listen to the XM radio and use your radar detector at the same time. The reason why is that the SMH10 only allows one A2DP stereo audio device to be paired to the headset at any given time. When you have only your phone turned on and hear the voice prompt say "Phone Connected", the phone is the source of stereo audio. However, when you turn on the the SM10 and it connects to the SMH10 and you hear the voice prompt say "Media Connected", the SM10 now acts as the source of stereo audio instead of the phone. So any device plugged into the SM10 will be heard through the SMH10 at the same time.

    How do I pair the SM10 with the SHM10? Should it be connected in multi-point mode or not?

    Victor, You cannot use multipoint pairing with the SM10. You can either use the mobile phone pairing or the A2DP stereo music only. Using the pdf guide below go to section 6.1 Mobile Phone Pairing or 7.1 A2DP Stereo Music Only.

    Sena - D,  I have tried this method of connecting a A2DP dongle to the SMH10B or via hardwire.  I both cases, once I pair a intercom, the audio disappears.  Comments?

    Why can't I listen to FM radio and be interrupted when my satnav says something?
