Which Device Supports Which Bluetooth profile?

Smart phones/mobile phones – most phones will support both HFP and A2DP.

GPS – Most motorcycle GPS devices will support HFP (some with additional A2DP support). Most car-GPS devices will not pair with a headset.

Bike’s On Board Audio – A2DP support. For example, BMW and Triumph bikes have on-board audio with Bluetooth.

Bluetooth Adapters and Dongles – A2DP. Sena has a 2-way radio adapter (the SR10), and it uses HFP. The Sena SM10 uses A2DP.

Can I connect a Garmin 2495 bluetooth to the SR10 using the mobile phone connection? I pair my iPhone (gives me phone and music) to the SMH10, and, pair the SR10 to the SMH10 using multipoint pairing. My desired set up is to have the phone (via bluetooth), two-way radio (wired to the SR10) and GPS spoken directions (via bluetooth) all coming through the SMH10 headset.

The 2495 recognizes the SR10 but I do not have the sound coming through the headset.

Why can I not pair my 20s with my Garmin gps model 3590LM. It is a Bluetooth model, it sees the sena 20s but will not pair. Any ideas how to over come this. So frustrating after purchasing both units and cannot pair.

@Ian: Yes the SMH10 and the 20S is compatible with the Garmin Zumo 550 GPS.

@Vincent: That model of GPS from Garmin is not compatible with a Bluetooth headset. That model like other Garmin Nuvi models are designed to be used in cars which means that they are only able to be paired with smartphones. Here is a list of GPS devices from Garmin that are compatible with Bluetooth headsets: http://support.senabluetooth.com/entries/25880325-Which-Garmin-GPS-is-compatible-with-a-Sena-Bluetooth-headset-.

Oneplus one is running Android 5.1.1 Cyanogen Mod 12.1

I had no trouble with any other bluetooth devices.

I have updated Sena 10c to the latest available firmware 1.02

I have restarted both the device and the phone

With all the atepts the Sena device does apear on the list for pairing in the phone.

What is the reason car gps units will bluetooth pair with Sena?

    Sena

@Bikers: Some car GPS units like the Garmin Nuvi 765T, Nuvi 775T and Nuvi 785T were designed to pair with a Bluetooth audio device and allow them to output the audio from the GPS device to a Bluetooth audio device such as a Bluetooth headset.

most people like myself use "car gps" because its more affordable then the motorcycle specific gps units which are way Overpriced!!! and you get better options with a car gps. is there any way that you can make a firmware update for the sena 20s to make it compatible with the Nuvi 2589LMT series?
